The macro is a tool within Tekla Structures that facilitates the management of multiple request types. The macro streamlines the process of handling requests, making it more efficient and organized.
Users must open the Macro to begin process, to do so;
Authorized Desimone Structural Detailing Staff must sign in with their username credentials to access the Tray App. Clients will sign in with the credentials provided by their Desimone contact. If you are a client and do not have credentials, please reach out to your Desimone contact to obtain them.
The Macro is Consisted of Multiple Core Pages, each serving a specific function within the application.
Clients will be able to view, create, and respond to requests. The core pages include the Request Manager, Revision Manager, and Member Selection Page.
Each page is designed to facilitate specific tasks related to request management, revision tracking, and member selection, ensuring a streamlined workflow for users.

The tray app is a tool launched by the Macro that runs in the background and grants users access to the macro's features.
before the macro runs it will prompt the user to login to the tray app. Logging in requires valid credentials. If you are a client and do not have credentials,
please reach out to your Desimone contact to obtain them. Login credentials are based on usernames, and each user will have a unique username assigned to them.
Once logged in, there will be a notfication on the bottom right showing you have logged in successfully.
The tray app is not logged in and now is in the tray, to open the tray app, click on the upward facing arrow
on the bottom right of your screen and right click on the "DSDN Tray App" icon to open the application.
Once right clicked, the tray app displays who is signed in and gives options to the user to Signout, Exit and Open the Tray app,

In the View Request page, users can select on a specific request. Once a request is selected,
users can view the members associated with the request in the Tekla model to better understand the context of the request.

Now back in the Tekla modelm select member(s) to add to request:
Pressing 'Get Selected Parts' button will add the selected members to the table.
From there the user can add members to request by pressing the 'Add to Request' button or cancel the action by pressing the 'Cancel' button:

The View Revisions button allows user to create, view and respond to revsions made to a request.
we will go in depth into the view revisions functionality in the 'Revisions Management' section of the manual,
but to access the revision manager, users must select a request and press the 'View Revisions' button.
The Sync Request button allows user to synchronize requests with the server.
This updated UDAs and all information related to the request with the latest updates.
To use the sync button simply select a request and press the 'Sync Request' button.
It is recommended to press the sync button before pressing the 'View Revisions' button to ensure you have the latest updates on the request.

The View Files button allows user to select multiple files associated to the specific request.
Once the files are selected the user has the option to either download or open the files on the web.
To use the View Files button, simply select a request and press the 'View Files' button.
A pop-up will appear with all the files associated with the request.
The view revisions button allows users to view all revisions and responsesassociated with a request.
To access the revision manager, users must select a request and press the 'View Revisions' button.
Once the revision manager is open, users can view all the revisions associated with the request.
Users also have the option to refresh, open, and create revisions from this page.
Double click or select and press open to view the details of a revision.
Once the revision has been opened, users can view the revision in totality, aswell as responses associated with the revision by switching between the two tabs.
Response page:
Users are able to create revisions to a request by pressing the 'Create Revision' button in the revisions page.
Once the button is pressed, a pop-up will appear prompting the user to enter the revision details such as revision title, and description.
After filling out the details, press the 'Submit' button to create the revision.
The newly created revision will now be visible in the revisions page and can be opened to view the details and respond to the revision.

To view a response, open the revision manager select the revision you want and press the open button.
once in the revision details page, switch to the responses tab to view all responses associated with the revision.

To create a response, open the revision manager, select the revision you want, and press the open button.

When creating a request, users must select members from the Tekla model to associate with the request.
The member selection process is crucial as it defines the context of the request and ensures that all relevant parties are informed.
In order to select members, users must first navigate to the Create New Request tab.
Once in the Create New Request tab, Users can see request types, descriptions and selected parts.
To select members to associate with the request, simply select parts in the Tekla model
Once the desired members have been selected. Press the 'Get Selected Parts' button.
This will populate the selected parts table and display the ID, type, and GUID of the parts you have chosen.
When creating requests certain users have access to different request types. Request types are categorized based on the nature of the request and the specific requirements of the project. The available request types include:

When creating a request, users must select the appropriate request type that best fits the context of their request to ensure it is properly
categorized and addressed.
Creating a request involves several steps to ensure that all necessary information is included and that the request is properly categorized.
First, users must navigate to the Create New Request tab. Once there, users will need select a request type from the available options.
Then enter a description for the request to provide context and details about the request.
After that, users must select members from the Tekla model to associate with the request.
Once all the necessary information has been filled out and members have been selected, users can create the request by pressing the 'Create New Request' button.
Once the user has created a request, the newly created request will be visible
in the View Request tab. To view the request, simply navigate to the View Request tab and select the request you want to view.
